How to play 8 Ball Pool

  1. Play 8-ball against the computer. Break, then claim solids or stripes with your first pot.
  2. Aim the cue, lock the aim, then pull back to set the power and release to shoot.
  3. Pot all seven of your balls, then sink the 8-ball in a called pocket to win.
  4. Potting the 8-ball early, or scratching the cue ball on the 8, loses the game.

Controls

  • Move the mouse or drag: aim the cue
  • Lift / release to lock the aim, then drag anywhere to set power and release to shoot
  • Left / Right arrow: fine-tune the aim (hold Shift for bigger steps)

Tips and strategy

  • Use the aim guide to check the object ball's path before locking the shot.
  • Softer shots make it easier to control where the cue ball stops for your next shot.
  • Clear balls blocking pockets early so you are not stuck when only the 8-ball remains.
